A 50-BORE PERCUSSION SELF-COCKING REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'ADAMS' 1851 PATENT', serial no. 20760Y,
circa 1855, with blued octagonal 6 1/2in. barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight with engraved band at muzzle, standing notch rear-sight to the rear of the border engraved top-strap, borderline and scroll engraved blued solid frame marked '50-BORE' to the front and 'ADAMS' PATENT' to the right hand side (missing detachable rammer and inverted 'Y'-shaped safe spring), plain five-shot cylinder with engraved band to leading edge, one chamber inscribed 'J. Mc.D.A. 1855' and another 'G.E.D.L. 1905', fitted with Tranter's Patent double trigger (use no. 1386), spurless hammer, chequered walnut one-piece semi saw-handled grip and iron butt-cap, retaining much of an older London re-finish
